Last we heard, there are over 50 wineries in the Prince Edward County region. We have been to quite a few and while we are not experts, we know what we like and our favourites are below. Most of these are also in beautiful settings and offer interesting tasting experiences. Aside from the wineries, there is also a cool distillery and an impressive growing list o breweries too, so I've added them to this list along with a some wonderful cideries. If you are here just for a weekend, these are a good place to start - we think they are some of the best. I'll also note here that there is something special happening on Closson Road. Not only are there a number of great wineries, but there is a terrific lavender farm, an adorable alpaca farm and now a cool bicycle rental shop. For sure make Closson Road a desitnation.
