Enid Grace's Cafe

Nestled in the heart of the town of Wellington is an adorable café named after its lovely and talented proprietor, Enid Grace. A self-proclaimed food nerd and epicurean wanderer, her delectable offerings with a European flare reflect her familial roots and her adventurous passion for food.
We first met Enid when she was running her Passport cart parked just west of where her current location is now. The concept of the now defunct cart was that each day, she would explore and offer food from different regions around the world that were inspired by her own travels. Her offerings were absolutely delicious. When she told us she was turning in her set of wheels in exchange for a brick and mortar operation, we knew we were in for something special.
Without question, my go-to item on her lunch menu is the Tarragon Chicken Salad Sandwich. Tarragon is one of my favourite herbs, and pairing it with chicken along with the sweetness of sliced green grapes (yes, green grapes!!) makes it irresistible to me – the sweet/savoury combo is just to die for.
This is a terrific spot to grab a rich coffee, comforting tea and/or a gorgeous breakfast in the morning or to sit down for a relaxing lunch that will leave you blissfully satiated for an afternoon of exploring the region! The only caveat is that while it is such a lovely and intimate venue – it is quite small and it is a very popular spot too! Seating can be tight at times, BUT, fear not!! The table turnover is fairly quick, and you can do takeout if you don’t have time to wait. Enid Grace Café is busy for very good reason - her offerings are just wonderful and should not be missed!
